Background information
The Centre for Health Service Development (CHSD) in
the Sydney Business School at the University of
Wollongong comprises a dedicated team of academic and
general staff who conduct research, development and
evaluation projects on health and community care services
for a variety of government and non-government agencies
and interest groups.
The CHSD is seeking to recruit up to 3 academic staff to contribute primarily to the quantitative components of projects, from the design through the data collection, analysis and report writing to the dissemination of findings. The successful applicants will work within multidisciplinary teams in CHSD contributing towards its strong national and international reputation in health services research.
The Centre works as a multidisciplinary team and the
staff has qualifications and expertise across many disciplines.
About half of the team has previous experience working
in policy, management and clinical positions in the
health system. There is a commitment to blending quantitative
and qualitative approaches and to producing outputs
that are easily understood, and that can be of practical
