AROC governance
AROC Management Advisory Group (MAG)
The AROC Management Advisory Group (MAG) is responsible for
overseeing the executive management of AROC. The MAG membership
comprises representatives of key stakeholder organisations
from across the rehabilitation sector.
The MAG membership comprises:
- a nominee of the Australasian Faculty of Rehabilitation
Medicine (Chair: A/Prof Chris Poulos)
- a nominee of the Australian Department of Health and Ageing
- a nominee of the Australian Department of Veterans’
Affairs
- nominees from three state/territory health department
(currently VIC, SA, NSW)
- a nominee of state/territory transport accident authorities(TAC)
- a nominee from the General Insurers (IAG)
- a nominee of state/territory workers’ compensation
authorities (Vic Workcover)
- a nominee of the private health insurance industry
- a nominee of the Australian Healthcare Association
- a nominee of the Australian Private Hospitals’ Association
- a nominee of the Statistical Information Management Committee
- Director, Centre for Health Service Development
- Chair of the AROC Scientific and Clinical Advisory Committee

AROC Clinical and Scientific
Advisory Committee (SCAC)
The AROC Scientific and Clinical Committee (SCAC) provides
clinical and technical advice on issues related to data, reporting,
education, training requirements and research priorities.
The SCAC membership comprises representatives of key stakeholder
organisations from across the rehabilitation sector.
The Scientific and Clinical Advisory Committee (SCAC) membership
comprises:
- a representative of MAG (chair)
- three nominees of the Australasian Faculty of Rehabilitation
Medicine (AFRM)
- the Clinical Director of AROC
- a nominee of Australian Health Insurance Association (AHIA)
& Australian Health Insurance Restricted Membership
Association of Australia (HIRMAA)
- two nominees of the Australian Department of Health and
Ageing, one representing the public sector and one representing
the private sector
- a nominee of the Australian Department of Veterans’
Affairs
- up to four nominees from State Departments of Health
- a nominee of a general insurance group (IGA)
- a nominee from National Private Rehabilitation Group (NPRG)
- a nominee of theTransport Accident Commission (TAC)
- a nominee of the Australian Association of Occupational
Therapists (AAOT)
- a nominee of the Australian Rehabilitation Nurses Association
(ARNA)
- a nominee of the Australian Institute of Health &
Welfare (AIHW)
- a nominee of the Health Consumers Forum
